Fabulous Friday

My day started off pretty good. The back spasms are minimal compared to my first week out of the hospital. It is kind of a dreary day, so I didn’t get to walk, which was ok because I had a lot of other activities. My friend, Regan picked me up at home and drove me down to Sunrise Bakery. I was pretty excited considering my only other outings have been to a doctor’s appointment, the grocery store, and the craft store.

Upon my arrival I was greeted by my dear friends, the Matherlys. Apparently the “rumor” had spread that I might be making an appearance, and I was told that blueberry bagels were attempted, however they were too wet for the dough. So the blueberries were made into a chutney which I smeared over my perfect salt bagel. I was also served a personal sized nut roll, lots of coffee (which I ended up spilling all over the bakery floor…sorry!) and homemade kale and potato soup. The longer you stay at Sunrise the more they feed you. It was a great morning, and I can’t begin to describe how good it felt to be out. I did get pretty tired, and I rested for a bit when I got home, and then Pam came over to wash my hair. We got a little wet and wild this time for some reason, but I did end up with nice clean hair which essentially is our end goal.

I finished scarf number 3 today. I am enjoying trying different yarn and different patterns. So far the stockinette stitch has been the winner. The last time I was at the craft store I loaded up with yarn because I had been 3 days in a row. I’m a little addicted…

I LOVE these girls. Seriously.
